General Information

The Cornwall Central School District is pleased to offer a Summer School Program designed to support students in grades 9–12 who need an opportunity to recover credit in high school credit-bearing courses. Our goal is to provide students with the academic support, instruction, and resources necessary to strengthen their understanding of course content and remain on track toward graduation.

Students who earned a final course average between 50 and 64 during the 2025–2026 school year may be eligible to attend Summer School with approval from their school counselor. Through focused instruction and consistent attendance, students will have the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of course standards and earn course credit.

Registration will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cornwall Central High School. Students must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. School counselors will be available during registration to assist families and confirm course eligibility.

Summer School classes will be held at Cornwall Central High School from July 13–August 13, 2026, Monday through Thursday. There will be no classes on Fridays. Course offerings are subject to change based on student enrollment and staffing availability. Regents exams are offered on August 18th & 19th at Valley Central Middle School and students must be registered with their school counselor’s approval. School counselors will notify students and parents/guardians regarding registration, if necessary.

Student success in Summer School depends on regular attendance, active participation, and a commitment to academic growth. We encourage families to review the program information carefully and work closely with their child's counselor to determine eligibility and appropriate course selection.
